Pulling my hair out with faulty PSU's

Hi all

please can some one recommend a decent 650/750watt PSU, i have gone through 3 PSU's in the last few days. OK they where cheap but i needed a quick fix so local Maplin helped me out. However the first a Corsair VS650 the fan bearing went in 2 days. then a CX750m make a loud whine, just been replaced again with another CX750m and the fan is loud. frustrated does not come close.

Ideally i would like a Fan off PSU for low/medium power. I guess i have also been put off Corsair for life unless some one tells me the RM750X is amazing etc.

budget £100 ish can go over. Cheers

Hi

The Corsair RMx is indeed a very good power supply. I would also look at the Seasonic Focus Gold as it is usually cheaper and has a 10 year warranty same as the RMx.

For decent PSU fixed cable BitFenix Formula would be more modern than any those cheap 80+ Bronze CX/VS Corsairs and also using quality capacitors while Whisper M would have semi-modular cables.

For semi-passive cooling Seasonic Focus Plus Gold has pretty much top level electrical performance and 10 year warranty for extremely competitive price unlike in older Seasonics.
(internal layout possibly designed also for easier manufacturing)
