I have a custom watercooling loop installed in my computer with a laing DDC for the pump with a plexi top. I have found that the pump is making a very loud buzzing noise and has done for a while now. I have checked to see if it is a vibrational problem by putting foam under it as well as lifting the pump off the bottom of the case during operation with no change in noise level. The buzzing is the most audible part of the computer. I have feser one cooling fluid in the system and my case is a Silverstone TJ-07BW. The pump is on the lower section of the case beside the radiator, immobilised but not screwed down. The loop consists of a D-Tek fuzion block for the CPU, an EK full cover block for the graphics card, a single bay reservoir and a 120.3 rad. I am unsure what information is useful and what is not so I thought i'd provide everything :s

Is this a precursor to a pump failure or merely the normal operation of the pump?

Thanks for the help ^_^. There are no air bubbles visible at all in the system and would over-tightening lead to this hum? To be honest it's not really worth my while just changing the pump as the rig is ageing a bit and i can conceivable see myself upgrading/updating it within the next 2 years.

I got it in August 2007 but I don't have any of the documentation as far as I know, as a friend bought it for me. Would it still be possible to send it off?
