2-3 month old h100i v2, started making this noise which is louder than the fans.

Got it from Maplin. Is this RMA worthy? My previous h110gt didnt make any pump noise but the led's were naff. Would like to order a bigger one from ocuk if i can rma this to maplin

I would have thought so otherwise i'm never fitting one to a build again.

Edit: Have you considered decent air - zero pump hassles/noise and similar performance.

this is my second corsair aio. Their quality control is horrendous to be honest. Going to see if craplin will take it back otherwise i'll rma through corsair and order a new one.

Unsure if you go h110 or h115

I've given up on aio' they are simply too noisy you get fan noise and pump noise with water cooling as opposed to just fan noise with air. Today's low tdp chips don't need water cooling to hold temperatures, pascal cards in particular are very efficient and high quality air cooling can be as low as 29db under load.

Had the same fault develop on mine; reading up it's the bearings inside the pump. Managed to pick up an antec replace on the mm for a good price. For my next build I will be moving away from mitx form which is the only reason I went for an aio

so they've agreed to replace it but im upgrading to the h115i so i can use my old fans from the h110. This h100 was only a temp anyway, funny how its dying.

one day far far away i'll move to a closed loop system :(

This is a common issue for water pumps in AIO solutions. I've encountered this with Corsair CPU coolers, as well as EVGA Hybrid coolers for graphics cards. It's random as to when they run into such noise issues. Therefore I tend to switch back to air cooling with Noctua fans to minimise maintenance work required in the long run.

Try manually adjusting the pump speed and see if that makes a difference. Start from 60% onward and go up in small increments. Hopefully you'll find a spot where it stops making the noise or quietens down.

Doesn't sound good to me. I've given up on AIOs and gone back to a big heatsink and slow speed fans.
Have known friends and others who have done the same! ' Why all the aggro of mixing water and electric? '
