pump orientation question

I'm new to watercooling and have got a Swiftech mcp355 Laing DDC pump.

I'm coulpling it with a EK DDC res 140.

After removing the original pumptop from the pump I've joined it with the res keeping the same orientation i.e. the inlet and outlet on the same face as before. However as the wires from the pump now evit on the wrong side for my build is it possible to take it apart and rotate it 180 degrees or even 90 degrees. Essentially is the pump unidirectional in it's output or can the new pumptop/res be mounted on it in any orientation?

Not entirely sure about that pump but in general the inlet needs to be in a horizontal position or facing up.

i.e. the inlet shouldn't be working against mavity. Other than that every other position is OK.

This will be okay both the following are true:

A)The recess in the pump top is perfectly circular.

B)If you draw two lines between diagonally opposite screw holes in the pump top, the place these lines crossed should be in the exact centre of the circular recess.

If both these are true then the pumptop is radially symmetric and you should be able to turn it 180° or 90°

Sometimes however the recess is not a full circle and part of it will be shaped for the output, however the rest of the recess is circular such that you are able to discern its centre, and the cross lines still pass through the centre of this partial circle you should still be able to rotate the pump top. What you defo don't want is the recess to be off centre of the crossed lines.
