Pump Placement, Higer than Res?

Hey dudes.

Had to make some last minute changes to my build (FT02 is a pig to watercool!) and the most aesthetically attractive position for the pump would be higher in the case than the res. Is this an issue? Is the pump powerful enough to lift water from a res rather than it flowing down into it?

Awesome. I've just been mulling over the filling issue too. I'm not really sure how i'm going to do it! :/

I'd need to build a T-Line halfway through a length I think. That's another day before i can finish! :(

Is there a side you can lie the case down on, where the pump is slightly lower than the reservoir? Upside down would work as far as the arrangement goes, but pumps don't tend to work upside down.

So, you fill the reservoir, lie the case down such that water flows down to the pump inlet, run the pump for a bit, then refill the reservoir. I don't know what the internals of the FT02 are like however, so this may not be possible.

put the case on it's side, hold the res outside, fill the loop then put the res back in, leak check and bleed the loop?

Thanks guys. I decided against it in the end, just going to place the pump under the PSU. I couldnt stretch the Sata power far enough to move the DVD drive further up, allowing me to put the pump in the drive bays. I could have put the pump on the DVD driver, but i'm concerned about heat.

Wont look as nice, but what can you do.
