Pump stopped working

Hi All

I have a XSPC X2O 750 V2 that seems to have died on me.

I have finally bought a fan controller so I went and setup my PC with the fan controller, I didn't change anything else. All seemed well initially but I noticed that one of the tubes was getting too warm. Some investigation led me to notice that the pump had stopped running. I have tried different molex connectors and tried giving it a little bash hoping to kickstart it into life. Nothing seems to have worked and it just seems dead.

Does anyone have an idea as to why a pump would just stop?
Any idea on tricks or fixes I can try?

If you directly contact the manufacturer without a receipt, they sometimes will send a replacement or allow you to send it back to be fixed for a fraction of the price. Sometimes they do it just to stop people switching brands. With stuff like a WCing pump, the last thing a brand wants is to build an unreliable rep and will sometimes throw you a bone just to keep customer confidence.

Thanks for the advice all. I will contact XSPC and see what they say, will keep you updated for future reference in situations like this.

I've never dealt with XSPC but Corsair and EK water blocks have been incredibly generous when it came to replacing old/broken parts even when out of warranty. EKWB especially, since they stopped producing the GPU waterblock i wanted, they had it made and shipped with 3 days of my e-mail and i ended up only paying postage and a fraction of the original block price. (shame i have been to lazy to put it back on my GTX580)

Just to give a bit of an update.

Sent off two emails, one to the technical team and one to customer services.

I have not heard back from either and feel really let down, I didn't ask for anything in the customer services email, all I did was explain the situation. With the technical team email I asked if they knew of any fixes I could try or if there was a replacement part I could buy from them.

I sent the email on Thursday morning and feel that I should have heard something back by now, I will keep you updated as I feel it is important to know which company's are easy to deal with and which aren't.

All though im not a fan of the company (xspc) my self. i know that they were at the i49, there for they will be really bissy getting drunk. paul aka coolermister is a rep for them in the UK. Do not forget it is a bank holiday as well.

Just to say that I have still not heard anything back from XSPC, sent another email asking for confirmation that they received the last one and still nothing.

Seems to be terrible customer service

Just to update-

Still not heard back from XSPC, I have sent another email. Really disappointed by their lack of support, surely they could at least have the decency to acknowledge my emails.

Just to double-check here, you have tried the pump as the only thing plugged in, right? A fan controller could pull just enough power to prevent the pump starting, if you were right on the edge of your power capabilities before.
