Puncture repairs - Close to the edge

I've picked up a brand new rear tyre which has a screw in it, to get repaired if possible.

The screw is however pretty close to the edge, very much on the edge of the tread...

Which firms will attempt a repair on it? I don't think Kwik fit will, but some others might.

What about a local indy village garage? They're not in the business of supplying the performance tyres you'd be after (only cheapo ones usually in my experience), so would be more likely to give you an honest answer as to whether it could be repaired or not.

[edit] sorry, misread your post a bit there... But a little local garage would probably be more inclined to be a bit dodgy with a borderline tyre repair than a kwikfit type chain.
