ok this is REALLY annoying!

i just started playing bf 2142 (latest patch installed as well as northern strike) and i can get on to servers but then after a min or 2 of playing, punkbuster just kicks me. this happens on EVERY server

no hacks, no nothing that would make me get kicked

and i only go on servers where i have a low ping

any ideas :confused:

its so annoying.

how would i re-enter the cd-key?
 
yea i ran the pbsetup.exe, but it still doesnt work.

am i supposed 2 do something with the files it creates on my desktop?

What pb error are you getting ingame?

Basically in the last week pb has updated and need both pb exe's services to be enabled otherwise you will be kicked by PB.

Look under services and there should be 2 punkbusters services, one with A on the end and one with B make sure they are set to Manual.

Also make sure they are allowed access by your firewall(Very Important this bit)

If you are on vista, disable that new security thingy, i forget the name, the thing that asks for your permission to install anything - it stops punkbuster from accessing your HDD thus resulting in a PB kick.
