Perhaps you people in here can help me.
I emailed punkbuster about crashing issues in PB servers which only happens in vista. They replied saying that it could be my RAM as punkbuster accesses it a lot in game and can expose flaky compnents.
It only happens in vista, not XP.

Is this explaination plausible? Is it because of vista using more RAM when gaming, which it cant take along with PB, or is that unlikely?

Cheers

Run memtest on the RAM and let us know if there are any issues.

I don't think this is an explanation as it only happens under Vista.

It MIGHT be that your RAM/CPU is being maxed out causing the system to lock up.

Yea I thought it was my gfx card at first, possibly driver conflicts etc, but I tried with a 2900XT and that does the same. I've ordered some new RAM that I hope will sort it out

Locks up with looping sound :(
I've updated PB using the program, manually, installed every driver you can think of and it still happens. I think that it must be hardware related, its getting too much stress in vista with PB
