CAP Black Book has it up at;

Clean: £1000
Average: £820
Below Av: £650

Obviously take into account current market conditions for used vehicles...I think £250 is low

99' is the original Punto shape so not very much, very good condition for the year I'd say £500, poor condition yeah about £300. Nothing more really as you can get the Mk2 now with a lot more toys and goodies for under £1000.

Check out Parkers and then see what they are going for on AT.

Thought Id ask here before I spend £4 :)

What car reckon about £1200 though

The car im looking at is this one

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...icleYearOfManufacture=1999&vehicleRegLetter=T

Its in really good condition, he'll take £900, but I was thinking this was still slightly high.

Having trouble finding anything else around that price range worth looking at though.

About double what it's worth personally. A friend got a 2002 Mk2 Punto with FS and 48k on the clock for an extra £250 a few weeks back.

Money is better spent on a Fiesta or somethinguber reliable (jap).

Don't buy a Punto, seriously, they are rubbish. Get something else.

Mrs doesnt like the fiesta shape.

You're buying a car for £500. Aesthetics don't really come into it.

However, avoid the Punto - I owned one as my second car, it was terrible.
