For some reason my fonts on websites and Thunderbird look thin and puny like they have been typed on a manual typwriter with a worn out ribbon. no idea what changed.
My Samsung screen has always been set to 1680 x 1050 and I've used the same fonts as follows in my browser and Thunderbird
Standard Font - Arial -16: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Serif font - MS Sans Serif - 16: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Sans-serif font - Arial -16: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Fixed-width font - Arial - Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Minimum font size 14
Encoding Western 8859-1
Any tips please on a good Arial type strong font..not Arial Black...or why my fonts look so poor ?
Edit: Just set Clear Type to on and ran through the "eye test" process and characters seem better...darker black and sharply defined characters. Is this what others do ?
