PUP Downware

Just ran a scan with Malwarebytes and it found just found some PUP Downware on my PC I removed it and I ran another scan and nothing came up so I am hoping it is gone.

First Virus I have found for a long while been reading up on it and there seems to be a lot of conflicting information on how serious it is, so I was wondering is it worth doing a full reformat and changing all my passwords just in case or am I being overly paranoid?

PUP stands for potentially unwanted program so it's not a virus but just random crapware that you probably don't want to have installed. Examples could be toolbars installed in your browser.

PUP is often the crap that is bundled with freeware. Always read software dialogues and untick the check boxes.

Had read that as well but I had seen on a few posts people talking about it being a key logger and I was starting to get a bit paranoid lol
