Purchase in app purchase using payment other than apple pay

Hi

Hoping someone can help please as I’ve just switched from android to apple. I wish to buy in app purchases using a mobile phone as a payment type

I’ve added the payment type successfully, but for in app purchases, it seems only Apple Pay is triggered when going to pay

I don’t know if this will complicate things but I want to buy the item to share with my “apple family”. Thanks in advance

Is that even possible? I know you can add things onto your contract but how on earth do you buy things via your sim card? Text a number and it costs you the amount for the app? I’m baffled.

you can even buy Xbox games from your sim

You don’t text a number, the amount is literally debited from your payment that’s attached to the sim, so if it’s PAYG it comes off your balance, if you’re on pay monthly it gets added to your monthly bill
