So, decided to reward my daughter today, with some Minecraft tokens and a map for the ps5. Stupidly, I have bought the add-ons through my account and not hers.
So neither the tokens or the map show up in her game.
Googling tells me its unlikely anything can be done. Just asking the more experienced crowd on here.
do I just suck it up and buy them again?
Will Sony even care if I ask them?

Honestly, Sony don't give a **** - I purchased Kingdom Come Deliverance, mistakenly thinking it was a 'season pass' for the expansions (as I already own KCD on disc); hadn't started and only downloaded it - but got nowhere with support. Iirc they asked for evidence I owned the disc, which I provided, but then nothing - I never got anything back from them, and still own two copies of KCD

Only one way to find out: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/store/ps-store-refund-request/

The sticking point in getting refunds is their "must not have downloaded the content" requirement. I don't know how Minecraft DLC works but I imagine you don't download the in-game currency you bought, whereas you probably had to download the map. So at the very least I'd hope to be able to get a refund on the currency.

If you're playing on the same console as each other then as long as you have the console activated as your primary then other accounts should have access to things you've bought, and I would have thought this would include the map.

Edit:- their refund policy suggests if you've launched the game under your account since you've bought the currency then you won't be able to get a refund (as this effectively credits it to you account in-game). https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/legal/playstation-store-cancellation-policy/#games
