Hello there,

I'm kinda worried that I have purchased incompatable parts from my new rig.

My 600w Enermax Noisetaker, GC, CPU, MB has just arrived, but I'm not sure its compatible with my motherboard (Asus P5B deluxe (intel965)) and CPU ( Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe")

I asked in multiple forums if everything I was buying was ok, and no one said anything was wrong.

Enermax Noisetaker 600W EG701AX-VE(W) SFMA ATX2.0 SLI Compliant PSU

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz

Asus P5B Deluxe (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-150-AS)

So can one of you, if you dont mind, have a look and see wether the psu is compatible with my MB, CPU for me. Dont want to blow anything up, or break something.

Thanks loads

Hello LoadsaMoney,

Pheew, thank you very much indeed mate.

Just one more thing. Could I use that psu on an old 745 (pre-939) AMD 64 3200 Socket motherboard?

Thanks bud, have a great day.

Yeah should be fine, if the old board is only a 20 pin ATX for the power, then you can just unclip the last 4x of the new PSU. :)

Have a great as well mate building that nice new rig you got there, hope it all goes according to plan, just got my self an E6600 the other week, fantastic.

yup.

edit: loadsa is too fast :(

Thanks all.

Yeh, my new rig is;

600w noisetaker
e-Geforce 7950 Gx2
e6600
Freezer pro
p5b Deluxe
GEIL ddr2 6400 GB x2
350 16mb Seagate

:-)

Heh, the whole reason I got this was because my old 6800u started getting artifacts in wow, so I thought might as well have a total upgrade. But after some fiddeling and looking I noticed in the BIOS of my old comp that the psu was not providing 12+ voltage, 0.00 was showing. This could be the reason for my 6800u showing artifacts. But I can test my new psu now in my old comp to see if it was that, heh, if i was I just upgraded for no reason (mrs will kill me!! ) as the graphics card is ok.

Lolol, maybe I should have said this before getting all the new bits :) She will be ok, I'll give her 10 of the best and send her shopping!

Peace all, have a good day.
