Purchased music from amazon over the last few years? Autorip!

considering how long amazons been running I was surprised how little music ive bought off there. its only this last 18 months or show ive got drm free mp3 stuff off there

Oh man ... there's some really bad stuff which I bought as gifts for people quite some time ago (some of which were joke gifts at the time) ....

... annoyingly all the stuff I've bought lately has been from marketplace sellers so isn't included ...

I only recently started buying music through Amazon, and I don't care for MP3 as a format.. but it could come in handy and it's a good selling point.

Enough to make me consider Amazon as my first choice from now on :)

Quite a handy and nice value added feature :)

Even if it does mean I now have the likes of Les Miserables and the like in my cloud player with Amazon:p

I also like that if you now buy a CD you can download the mp3's straight away :)

This is one of the big attractions for me, I still buy nearly all my music in a physical format and will carry on doing so and ripping them to my prefered lossless format but I do like being able to listen to an album within seconds of purchasing it knowing that the CD will hit my door mat in the next few days.

Surprised it's only found 45 albums for me but then a lot of my recent purchases have been market place and when I was a student in Nottingham I emptied almost my entire loan cheque into select a disc's second hand section every year!

Makes a change for us to be talking about an inovation in digital music delivery that potentially boosts piracy as a side effect (I like others now have several Albums purchased as gifts for others in my cloud player) but is supported by the industry instead of the usual I only pirate becuase big business makes me merry go round we normally have.

I got this up and running this morning. I have to say I'm VERY impressed, the cloud player works fantastically and it's now a lot easier to download stuff. Thumbs up Amazon!

Having often bought CD's as gifts for people over the years, I have what can only be described as a fairly "eclectic" selection on my cloud player! Right old hodge podge.

amazon, you bunch of gits. i pre-ordered a CD last week and i assumed i'd get access to the mp3s on release day (now to be exact). when it wasn't showing in my cloud player, i went looking for info.....

When will I get the MP3s for my pre-order of the AutoRip album?

You can access the MP3 version of your pre-ordered AutoRip album within 48 hours of your order being dispatched, or on the date the MP3 album is released, whichever is later.

my order has been despatched so why do i have to wait up to 48 hours? i thought the point of mp3 downloads was instant access. the CD might even arrive first and it defeats the whole bloody object of this. :p

Amazon must hate you. :p

I've just purchased 3CD's and they've appeared in my cloud before they've been dispatched. They aren't new releases though, they're from Amazon's current 3 for 2 offer.

Just learn to be patient. :p

i'm not usually that impatient. i always buy CDs with free super saver delivery and i'm happy waiting a few days. i've always preferred CD over instant downloads. i was just a bif miffed at this concept of having to wait when i was offered digital as part of the CD package. :p

it was in my cloud player when i checked later on that morning.

Just found this thread as I was about to go and purchase some music from Play, but then realised it was cheaper to buy a physical copy of it on amazon and get the mp3 via autorip to upload to my google music library.

Insane!?

Why is a physical copy cheaper to buy than a none physical copy?
