so yeah, I'm going to be ordering my rig within the the next 4 months, thinking about going ivybridge/nvidia 6 series. I wanted to ask, would it be better to snap up an hard drive now whiles they are on offer?
i've seen this -
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-248-SE

however, weekly deals end on 30 Nov.. so can't see the HDD prices shifting after that (correct me if I'm wrong).

so overclockers, please tell me when would be the best time to purchase an HDD for my rig.

I've no idea what's going to happen to HDD prices over the next 4 months but the offer on the drive you linked to ends in about 32 minutes not on 30 November.

I'd risk it and get it in 4 months in the hope the prices go down, but it's entirely a gamble at this point.

thats verry true, trying to come up with a decent speck.. to compare wether to buy now or later and the prices just keep changing.

think im just going to have to see what happens in the next 4 months...these are dark times ^.^

If you're after a hard drive on the cheap, try places that might not have put their prices up. I know a certain catalogue shop hasn't, and some independent electrical retailers probably won't have either. My friend picked up two 2TB Toshiba external HDDs with Seagate drives in them for £60 a piece from the place he works.

Why not just wait until April next year, you can't risk it. lol
