Hi guys just tried to watch a movie on my pc and my films wont play and wondered if its because I changed from AMD gfx to NVidia as I seem to remember something about purevideo.

Do I need to buy this or is my memory playing tricks ?

You could always try different software such as xbmc or vlc

Have VLC they still wont play.

Everything played ok when I had AMD cards then I got gtx 780 and reformatted the hd with fresh install of windows 7 on the ssd drive leaving the movies and music untouched on the other hd.

Love the new gtx but today tried to play a film and they wont play.

Sounds like you had codecs installed that have now gone with the os reinstall
