theres my board...

lol ouch... this is a real pain in the ass thank god its a old socket A motherboard im due an upgrade anyway. out of curiousity is it hard to remove my bios??? as ive noticed there are a few bios repair sites out there that can send me a pre-programmed bios...

I hate to say this now, but in the future never flash from windows when you can't replace the BIOS (either dual BIOS chips or at least a socketed BIOS chip)

I would guess you got that BIOS from HP and they gave you a little program to run from windows. I don't know why in hell they do that...very dangerous as you have seen.

ouch thats a niteman man.... thanks for your help anyway. will either have a look for another cheap socket A motherboard for the time being or just save and go for a upgrade... thank you
