Purple Screen !

I just ran the setup file for barrow hill within 1 min i got a complete purple screen , all i could see was the mouse cursor and it was still installing. Is this gfx card related? , never seen anything like it before
 
check the cable that connects your monitor to your graphics card, make sure its securely fitted. When i kick my cable my colours change like you are describing...
 
btw an easyish way to test if it was the cable is to jiggle it or move it around (Thats what i done anyway and instantly notice the color change)

Dont think it damages anything, it didnt for me but thats how i tested, just make sure its fitted properly and then you shouldnt have a problem
 
Didn't happen again till today , played like 5hrs of sins last night and it was ok... Started the computer this morning and the screen was black when it loaded windows , kinda judged where the login screen was and logged in. The screen went purple with only the mouse cursor showing.

i would say do a clean install of windows...
