Hey all,

Last stupid question :D

What are the plastic inserts for? I have a EK 150 advanced res and I am completely bewildered with the inserts. I vaguely understand what the anticyclon is for, but again.. I don't see the point as not many people have them in the rigs I see in the gallery etc.

Thanks

I use one of the longer tubes in the top, stops any trickling noises coming from your res and any 'falling' water creating air bubbles.

Ahh.. this is where I am further confused.. the manual shows different size tubes but I have 4 of the same length?

just make sure you are not breaking the surface of the water as gcaster said. Because if you do, the bubbles with get sucked around the system and then atomised by the cpu block (if its anything like my ekhf).

You can cut them down with a hack saw, then use a fine file to clean up the end, wash before putting in the system though to remove plastic pieces.

My inlet goes in the top of my tube res, into a tube that takes the liquid close the bottom of the res and the outlet is positioned away from it going out the bottom. There is a picture in the gallery of my mine from feb? in case you need to look. I did not cut down my tube, I am certainly didn't add in the anti cyclon plate, fluid is already turbulent enough without adding more to it.
