Does anyone know an insurance company that will insure a bike stored in a shed. They all seem to have the get out clause to say it needs to be locked to an immovable object

Do what I did...I locked mine to an anvil base. Nobody was moving that thing with a bike attached!
I now have them chained to four inch think steel bars that are concreted in to the floor.

I think this is also the other way around it....if you can mount something down under the shed easy enough that should cover it :p

Its an expensive bike so want to do it properly. My shed it decent, but to any insurance company, they see a shed as a shed. What Delvis shared was exactly what i needed

Can you not insure it on your house insurance as a seperate valuable item? That's how mine is insured.

Does it cover you in a collision?

I have Cycle insurance which covers me in an accident on the road.

if i hot a car it will pay. if a car hits me their insurance will pay. just like a car.

costs £4 a month

Similar to me, house insurance covers me for theft upto £3K (listed seperatly as a high value item),
& CTC insurance covers me on the road in case of an accident whether my fault or not for £48 a year.

The CTC insurance also covers me for when I enter any Audax or sportive events.

My bike insurance doesn't cover me in the event of a terrorist attack or nuclear war :(

Other than that, it's £8 a month or something and covers me and the bike if we die.

We don't have bike insurance over here like you can get in the UK, which is kind of wounding. I already had a 2k bike stolen, and my current stable would be eye watering as replacement costs.
