Hello,

I have the following fans,
Corsair SP120 & NZXT FX V2 120

Which fan should I have as push fan, and then of course pull?

Does it matter, if one is faster than the other?

Was wondering exactly the same: does it matter if the push fans are different models to the pull fans, even if rated to the same speed, 1500 in my case?

I would have thought you should match fans on push pull or they'll be fighting against each other with mismatched flow rates

If you are going to mismatch them then no it doesnt really matter which way round you have them, one will be causing a blockage for the other

Speed is irrelevant, it is flow rate at that speed that is important

Try it with one fan, then both, see if you actually get any improvement

It would make sense to use a higher static fan, as a push configuration.
Would you neccessarily need highstatic as pulling?

There's about 4-5CFM difference between Corsair SP120 and SP120 PWM

Doesn't matter if they are matched, or which one is in push/pull. You are running the fans in series (as opposed to parallel when they are side by side) which means that their static pressure will be basically combined, this increasing airflow if the is heavy restriction (which the usually is on the type of rads where push/pull is beneficial).

Worth noting that push/pull doesn't technically* increase airflow just pressure, if you use two 40CFM fans you won't get more than 40CFM.

*While their airflow output won't increase their airflow through a rad may as their pressure will have been basically combined to power the air through resistance.
