I recently purchased a Zalman performa cpu cooler for my 955 and it comes with clips to add a second fan. The fan I purchased for this second fan is an arctic cooling F12 and im only able to connect it to a 3 pin header on my mobo so the speed is constant at 1350rpm with an air flow rating of 57CFM. Its quiet enough so i dont mind having it run at full speed. The fan supplied with the heatsink however i am unaware of its air flow rating. Its speed varies from 900 to 2000rpm. what im wondering is would it be better to have the constant F12 as the push or pull fan or does it not really make much difference?

Thanks. What i ended up doing was putting the F12 as pull like you say and i set the supplied fan as close to the F12's rpm as i could. My idle temps have dropped a good 5-7c like this and load just touches 50c so im happy. That includes an overclock too. i think i need a new case to be honest. Theres only room for one intake fan on the front and it only fits an 80mm one. Ive tried two different fans an akasa and an arctic cooling one and neither made any noticeable difference to any temps really. Realised ive put this in the wrong section too which i apologise for.
