push + pull = higher idle temp?

Had a 1850 GT fan pushing air through my True and idle was high 20s and load was low 60s. Decided to put 2 1450rpm GTs on the True in push+pull and am getting lower Load temps (5-6 degrees) but higher idle temps (+4-5 degrees).

Is this normal?!

I suspect it could be due to replacing one high cfm fan for two lower ones, static pressure will be lower as well on the 1450rpm fans.

But surely if I am getting lower load temps with 2 fans then the idle temp should be lower too?

I'm going to put the 1850rpm fan back on and compare, maybe I did something to the TIM when fiddling with the heatsink.

It is quieter, and the system temps are around the same. I'll leave them in push/pull for now and when I get time I'll see what 2 x 1850 fans can do with regard to noise and cooling.
