hi guys just wondering if theres any cooling benefits if i have 4 fans on my rad as instead of 2, having them in a push / pull way  using a pa120.2 and sharkoon 2000s

I'm pushing air through my rad and it seems to slowdown going through - so another fan on the other side pulling it out would probably be of marginal benefit - something I will have to try sometime.

Using a shroud would benefit you more on a pa rad, it will provide more even airflow distribution across core. Will also reduce noise to:)

dont the pa rads already have a shroud on

edit:sry no my mistake

Best upgrade for a PA rad when paired up with med to high CFM fans :)

sorry to jump in your thread.

Im going to be mounting my pa120.2 at the top of my lianli 343b, now i have a shroud on order but would it be better to have the fans pushing or pulling?? Their going to be acting at exhaust fans on on the case being mounted at the top.

But saying that they could also be used as intakes as the 343b has loads of exhaust fans on the back anyhow.

Cheers

top of the case isnt the best place for a rad as hot air rises its going to go right through your rad :(

Shouldnt be too much of an issue, have a fair few exhaust fans, x4 120mm on the back of the case lol :D

Also didnt hit temps too bad in the tt mozart i had, was mount top back of the case in that.

But yeah know what you mean, thats why i was thinking perhaps pulling in cold out side air in through the rad at the top, i know it will pull in then get pushed out the back by the exhaust fans.

Would it work though lol.

Gonna try push/pull WITH a shroud - dunno how much difference it will make but every little bit helps;).

Now i could mount it in the same way you have w3bbo, in the front of your ufo2,

Not sure if the pa120.2 will go straight in there with the brackets or if the brackets/case would need modding.

Edit Bleeding isnt too bad, just give the whole lot a good shake and rotate the case around. Its a closed loop so no worries there. Also the pa series have a bleed nipple.

I ran 6x120mm fans on a 120.3 for a couple of years ... at 5v they cooled the same as 3 fans at 7v more or less ... and were quieter too which was a factor. They were piggy backed pulling from the rad and my hand test indicated to me that 2 pulling was better than 1 pulling at the same voltage ;)
