Push/Pull still worth it?

Thinking of renewing my Xigmatek Red Wings (think they're Red Wings) for some Scythe GT's - Currently on a 360 rad in push/pull (so 6 in total).

If I was to upgrade to Scythe GT's, mainly for lower noise, would you guys still recommend getting 6, or just having 3 pull?

Cheers

any fans on push-pull are only in the region of 1-2C better than push or pull
some rads respond better to push or pull depending on fan speed

so as skyline says, the extra cost not really worth it for the benefit you get

as you already have push-pull anyway, you could just try running them slightly slower to decrease noise, you probably won't lose much by way of increased temps

Ok ty - and the next question - which RPM to go for?

They'll be controlled by my Aquaero 5 Pro anyway, so RPM not an issue, but I guess going for more is better than going for less? 1450RPM seem to be the norm? or even higher at 1850?

Oh and also - presume pull is better than push? Always ran both push & pull so unsure which is better for a single fan setup!

I'm using 6 1450s which at full whack are audible but not that bad. I am using a naff controller and when on quite low they are inaudible from below my desk.

Just seen your edit: I'm running mine in push now. I'm not sure which is better to be honest. I previously had them in pull on my external loop.

Ty :) I've also gone for some Phobya shrouds also, and will seal them with tape as well, so it should be good! (And reduce any vibrations).

Hi, l have used fans set to- pull / push:pull / pull and found theres only about 1'c using the same fans[not pwm] all round, so have set my low rpm fans on my rad to pull. So static pressure pushing against the rad does not come into effect, as l'm pulling the air through the rad, as l find this does not fill the rad up with dust as quick, rad mounted externally.
