right here we go,
i have managed to hit 2.4g on my 3800x2 @ 1.4v (can`t go beyond 1.4v on this asrock mobo)
htt multi @ 4x
fsb @ 240
cpu multi @ 10x
mem divider @ 166
anyways i can hit 2.5g if i lower the mem divider to 133 but it leaves the mem very underclocked god knows if that will make much of a difference???
but the mem is running in dual channel and i have a sneaky feeling that is what is holding me back hmmmm
1)whats the max speed i can expect with only 1.4v on the vcore?
2)is it worth dropping to single channel with the mem to try and push further?
3)is dual channel mem worth much in the performance gains???
i think thats it for the mo LOL
cheers

Hmm, i didn't think running memory in dual / single channel mode affected stability.

Keep upping the fsb until it won't boot, then lower it a little, then test it for stability. :)

it wont post beyond 240 fsb without taking the mem divider down to 133 so i know the mem is holding me back :( and this mem used to do 220 in my old k7 setup :) so thats why i think dual channel maybe holding me back but hey i could be way off the mark.
anyways thanks for the reply taken :)
