Yes - he has obviously read some of the stuff about him.

He was charged with gross indecency (12 charges of gross indecency - not just being gay ) with a teenage boy ( the boy was 19 - he was 39 ) from what I recall.... and I don't think too many schools would be happy to explain who is on the £10 note - even if he is one of our cherished figures.

......but in retrospect, he isn't a 'criminal' though is he.
He's never been pardoned as far as I know - and they have refused to do so. So although it is not against the law now, it was then and he was guilty of breaking that law. So, yes, he is a 'criminal', technically.
