Howdy,
Ok I just bought all the components for my new PC from OCuK this morning, and they are on their way to me, so should get it all tomorrow.
The new rig has set me back £1,161, so quite a bit... but not as much as it was going to be when I originally spec'd a Q6600!
My current rig had all its parts bought here 2 years ago, and I am slightly worried that my new £1,161 rig will not be much better (playing games wise I mean, not Windows) than my current setup. I mainly feel this cos, clock speed wise, my new CPU is only 200mhz faster each core
Anyway, my current rig spec and my new one is listed below... could you tell me if you think this will make a difference in gaming (namely STALKER atm as I am loving that... but it doesn't play well at 1920x1200 on my current setup)?
I will overclock the the new CPU, but if you could tell me how much of a diff you think it would make at stock would be cool... cos I don't know how much I will get outta my E6600.

Thanks
