I'll be upgrading my pc soon and this system will be a lot hotter than my old one.

Currently the pc is in a tight space and the back is about 11cm from the wall.

Would this cause the system to overheat seeing as the airflow is relatively poor?

maybe you could post a picture up

Newer hardware tends to generate less heat out put compared to old parts and it depends on your case/fans

my pc is as tight to the wall as the cables will allow and it causes no problems, depending on the case you have or plan to get you could exhaust the heat thru the top of the case?

obviously the more airflow the better but i'd say that as longs as you've got a couple of good front intake fans and can exhaust the heat out the back or top of the pc with another couple of good fans you shouldn't have any real problems

so why are cards getting bigger fams and also get water cooled. because there cooler...... dont think so.

maybe low end card but anything else are hotter. i could cook on my old gtx480

The system I'm building isn't fixed yet but it will be a mid range system.

amd 1055t/ i5 2400k
hd 6850
4gb ddr3 ram

The case I plan to use is in the less than £40 bracket and will probably be a coolermaster 430 or something similar.

Do these lower end cases allow you to exhaust heat through the top?
