Putting heatsink on processor help, urgent!

hey,

Im abroad and my mate is buildin his comp, cause i havnt made on for ages and im not near one that I can open I dont know this for him.

He has a AMD Athlon 64 3000 proccesor and the heatsink that come with it.

How do you get the heatsink on the proccesor?

Fit the clips to each side and clamp down.

Does it need force or is there a tegnique to doing it?

Does it have a lever on one side. If it does move it so it is slack - slip the clips on then move lever to tighten it.

just what i was thinking
when you buy a new processor you get a booklet with it explaining how exactly to fit the heatsink to a motherboard...

tell him to RTFM
