Hi,

Ok getting some new blocks and adding another to my loop. Now my question is my loop has been running for around 6months and i am obviously gonna have to drain it to fit the blocks. But if i save the distilled water with zerex in it can i reuse it? Or is it better to completely replace the water?

If its ok to save it, can i just put it in a measuring jug then pour it back?

You can re-use it, it's just water after all. But if you find that it's in any way dirty or discoloured, I would change it. The Zerex really isn't necessary unless you have mixed metals in your loop or any anodized aluminium. If you're worried about algae, get some iodine from the chemist and use a few drops of that to absolutely guarantee you won't get algae.

Sorry to hijack your thread.. But its kinda similar and didn't want to start a new thread.

I've just drained my loop to fit my Fuzion and haven't put any Zerex back in yet.. What is the percentage recommended? Although as far as I know, I've only got copper in my loop...

about 5-10% zerex

@op
i wouldn't re-use the liquid, all kinds of dust, and particles can fall in it during the process, which will only lead to more hassle later on.

If i were you i would use new, fresh water. if you cant get hold of zerex, there are plenty of alternatives out there.
and dont forget to use biocide ;)

personally I wouldn't bother with additive at all.. never have apart from hydrx on a few builds for the green mainly and I've NEVER had any nasties in my water.

If I was adding blocks I might be tempted to refresh the tubing but thats more to do with asthetics.

Thanks for your advise chaps.

I may aswell spend five quid and get some new distilled water in there. I can also get a small bottle of iodine as well.

Could you just confirm to me that none of this kit has different metals, I think its all copper.
