Hi as above I finally have decided to buy a router and put the hub into modem mode, so what models are recommended at this time. On 100mb and in a small flat, 3 switches and a lot of stuff is hard wired bar smart switches, plugs and sensors ?
Thanks

You’ve not really given us much to go on, nothing you’ve said suggests the VM SH isn’t doing something you want/need and pretty much any router you can buy will potentially support way more devices than you infer. I don’t like consumer routers, they invariably suck, so I would look at it from the perspective of what will best run a *wrt based firmware.

The thing that sets alarm bells ringing for me is the ‘smart’ IoT stuff. a lot of that is horrific from a WiFi point of view in that it’s the cheapest, nastiest WiFi chipset they can get as it usually doesn’t care that it only runs at 10Mbps.

The challenge comes when you add that to your WiFi because, unbelievably, your entire 2.4GHz network now decides it has to be ‘compatible’ so it runs at 10Mbps. I kid you not. So if you have those sorts of WiFi IoT items then you may actually want two wireless networks. Or a single WiFi6 network at the very least. One that can handle the IoT stuff separately to the modern devices.

That's pretty expensive for the C80, you can get the AX72 for the same price elsewhere. I got one the other day, it's been solid so far although I need Hyperoptic to help me out with the IPv6 settings as when I turn it on, I get all sorts of DNS issues with Google sites/services.
