Putting Volts to Manual

Hey,

So far, all I know is that my CPU's stock volts were 1.3, so entering this in the BIOS allowed me to keep a decent temp and still take the OC higher.

However I wish to put all other voltages onto manual in case they are being over-volted while on auto. Could you tell me what the default voltage for:

- P45 Northbridge
- CPUPLL (65nm C2Q)
- FSB Termination Voltage

Should be and by how much these should be bumped by when increasing FSB?

Any extra info feel free to ask.

Cheers for any help, Vox.

NB = 1.14
CPU PPL = 1.52
FSB Term = ?

Basically, two notches above auto (using + key) is what you want to do.

Dam, just put the volts to what you said and it's lowered my load tempsby around 4C! I think that shows by just how much the CPUPLL was being over-volted!

Currently sitting at my usual 3.2Ghz and running a quick Prime stress, current load temps are a max of 55C, I'll leave it going for about 10 more mins just to check for any gaping errors then onwards and upwards with the FSB!

Edit: At 3.4Ghz currently stress testing, is at 1.368V, any lower and BSOD out of Prime within 5 mins.

When I push a bit higher I may have to give the NB a bit more aswell, this board should be capable of a 400Mhz FSB, although if that's with a 10x multiplier I shall find out :p.

Edit2: Great! Stable at 3.4Ghz. IBT put it up to 80C, but with Prime95 I only nudge 60C (Big difference, is weird!)

Validation.

Right, now for some food then I will aim higher!

Ok, new post as previous one was getting cluttered.

Am at 3.5Ghz stable now, P95 crashed but I didn't get a BSOD, so went ahead with IBT which reported me as stable, although the temps only went up to 75C this time.

I think I'm going to turn this into a quest for 4Ghz on a 65nm on Air.

It is a 65nm Quad though with a simple 63CFM fan on the TRUE, although it is close to the uncomfortable barrier for me.

Failed to get into Windows at 3.66 got a BSOD on startup, something needs more voltage but I'll figure out what it is tomorrow, I'm thinking NB. I may try bumping the FSB to 400 and the multi to 9x with the CPU volts at 1.39 or so, but will do that tomorrow.

Cheers for the advice.
