My third is something you'd best not garble

For this is where modern day Jesus calls home

My fourth is the first in the answer to this

My fifth is something a snake may hiss

My sixth is the firsts seen on any fire door

My seventh is the last letter of 29114

My eighth are where people go in search of fame

My tenth you might use when ascending to heaven

I'm hoping by now you aren't thinking this lame

And can work out yourself the answer to eleven

I actually asked Gilly if I was looking for an 11 letter word, and he said that I wasn't, but that I was close. Then I asked if I was looking for an 11 word phrase. He said that I wasn't, but that I was close.

Then I got bored and gave up.

I've tried decoding things with numbers to common letters but I don't think thats the key.
