puzzled about the new ATI

im looking into getting a new gfx card at some point. im looking at the new ATI due to be released. the X1950 ones. im just confused about this part :-

Crossfire compatible - Master Edition ATI/HIS X1950 card required!!

does this mean i need something extra for it to work? its on both bottom and middle cards on the page
 
Id just go for the x1900 XT, its much cheaper, and when you clock it to x1900 XTX speeds (which it will do easily), then its only going to be about 1-2frames slower than the x1950, and you've saved a wad of cash, and if you want the same cooler as the x1950, then get the the HIS x1900 XT. :)

Also that just means if you want to go Crossfire (2x cards) then you have to buy a master card which is known as the "Crossfire Edition" as that has the Composting chip on it, and comes with the dongle that Crossfire requires, and also you need a compatible Crossfire motherboard, but also as said above all cards work on their own as single cards wether masters or not. :)
 
@Scythe: Keep off my sigs damnit! nah just joking. cheers for that. i had no idea they were so big, esp firefox. are you sure its the firefox one, i thought it would be the ut one that was bigger.
