Hi guys
Strange one this...
A back in 2010/2011 I had an LG blu-ray writer, I forget the model but it had a very swish front and looked the business!
Anyway, it developed a fault, when I tried to open the drive tray I could hear the mechanism clunk as it engaged the tray but the door wouldn't open and it just stuck.
Pressing the button several times eventually but it was getting worse and worse.
I replaced it in 2011 with a Pioneer BDR-205 and all was well again.
However, in the last few months it's been doing the same thing, clunking and not opening the tray unless I press the button time and time again.
Weirdly once the tray is open and has a disc in it, it'll work as normal but if I put the machine to sleep and try again the next day it does the same thing!
I'm stumped on this one...since 2011 I've changed all the machine including the motherboard and PSU so to get the same fault again has me a bit stumped.
Any ideas what could be causing it or if I can fix it?
Thanks very much.
