I have a Asus Maximus VI Gene and I am running SLI.

I wish to get one of those Super fast Samsung M.2 SSDs for my PCI Combo port. But as I am filling up all of the PCI Lanes how would it work? Does it have its on PCI Lanes on the board dedicated for that use?

I am confused.

It's not something I've done myself but as I understand the M.2 on your motherboard is wired into the chipset, so it will not use any of your 16 PCI-E lanes that connect directly to the CPU and you're using for 2x8 SLI, but instead use some of the SATA allocation, meaning you can't use your SATA port 5, but won't effect the performance of your SLI.

No, IIRC that is the PCI-E 3.0 x4 speed, your board only has PCI-E 2.0 x1, not to mention the SM951 I believe you are referring to has a 2280 form factor, whereas your board only supports 2242.
