PVR / Hard Disk Recorder

Quick question:

Is it possible to record Telewest using a seperate Hard Disk Recorder / DVD recorder or can you only do that with freeview channels?

DVD recorders normally have analogue inputs, so you can record from a cable or satellite box. They have the same functionality as a VCR.

HDD recorders (PVRs) normally only record the broadcast signal, using their built-in tuner(s). They often have analogue pass-through, but not analogue recording inputs.
