PW5 DH Deluxe memory slots question

I recently purchased and installed

E6600 Dual Core processor
Sythe Ninja Cooler +120mm fan
2gig Corsair Dominator Memory
PW5 DH Deluxe Mobo

Everything works fine, but the Scythe cooler is very large and the memory stick cooling fins are higher than your average memory.

My question is this: as the fan+heatsink extend into the first set of dual channel memory slots (orange) i have to put the memory into the other set of slots (black).

As these are not the primary slots for memory are there any adverse effects to doing this? Or as this is a spearate channel am i worrying about nothing.

Typically, there is no difference in running the memory on either channel. You should be fine moving to the other slots. You can check your manual to be sure but, electrically,there should be no difference at all.
