PWM pump set up

Hi - Just tuning my first custom build. I'm running the Asus AI suite 3. I have EK x-res with d5 pump. I am now thinking that PWM for the pump is pointless, and I might as well leave it on a constant setting. The suite keeps it at about 1000 rpm when cpu temp is below 40, which says to me that the pump is not even on ! EK says it starts up at 1,450 rpm and max's out at 4,800 rpm......

I have two rads and cpu/gpu blocks in the loop. Plenty of fan headers all pwm. Can anyone with a similar setup suggest how best to set the pump up?

thanks

I think there is some issues between the AI suite 3 and D5 pump. That's why I uninstall the AI suite 3 and control the pump in BIOS.

thanks for reply. Would it be possible perhaps to use the AI suite to control the fans and make it ignore the pump which can be controlled by uefi instead?
