I noticed high noise coming from my 3 apaches connected via PWM. Is there a way I can set the power so its not always at near full speed. I dont mind if the temps get a bit higher. Just prefer some silence:(

You should be able to set a basic speed profile in the bios - temps that trigger a specified minimum and maximum fan speed. I think there are windows apps that let you draw a nice curve but I'm not too sure.

Hi,

I use 3 x apaches synchronized using Akasa cable.

As you have a gigabyte mobo then try Easytune 5/6 pro - Smartfan. You can set fans then to what ever speed/temp kick in you want.

This, nice and simple to set up. Mines set to 10% speed at 30c and 100% if it ever hits 75c, in normal usage the cpu fan rarely gets past 25% speed.

Woo finally configured it all now thanks guys. Problem was before I couldnt get the easytune software to work before, so looked up online and someone recommened to download from easytune6 their asia server instead. now it all works, stupid driver download from europe is a dud and doesnt start up easytune6 for me.

I also have 3 apaches hooked up to a akasa splitter connected to the PWM. The standard PWM setting always used to run the fans at 1000-1100 ish and sometimes max when only reaching 45c (too much). I find that under 900rpm the fans are silent, with similar settings to slowrunner.

Silence is Golden, Happy now:cool:
