Yikes, imagine just going about your day and then being attacked by a massive snake.

We may have crappy weather but maybe its a good thing to have a mild climate here in the UK as it doesn't bring nasty critters with it!

I actually wish we had more exciting animals here like big cats, deadly snakes and spiders, apes etc.

It would be great.

Trust me, you don't. The big cats and whatnot? Fine. But having a family member never wake up due to a bite from a spider smaller than a 1p coin is no joke.

Get ****** with that idea!! I struggle with our existing spiders, I do not want some of those evil little things they get in Oz.

I don’t mind the big cats, apes etc, but as diddums says, when something the size of a 1p can kill you, yea **** that noise!!

yeah but how do they get here? Dinghies?

of course, they can hardly navigate an airport successfully or a complex immigration system. Global warming and better feeding prospects are massive push and pull factors across the animal kingdom, especially for non-charismatic fauna. When attacks by such creatures are on the increase in northern France, we know we‘ll be next. I’ll anticipate capitalising on the situation by using this a a trigger point to start buying inflatable boats

I saw this the other day. The dad was pure cut Australian gold It’s a great day for Australia and it's a great day for Victoria, a great day for the world. The cream, the bone, the white, the off-white, the ivory or the beige. I love him, I want to boof him. Get him up here. Canary yellow? That's Australian gold my friend and don't you ******* forget it! Canary yellow indeed...

This is less amusing :(

Sounds like you speak from tragic experience

Not me, but a friend's domestic worker's son. Kid was 8 at the time and we loved him to bits, full of energy and nothing could break his spirit, until one day we just didn't see him. As a young child that really hits hard.

A black widow got him in his sleep.

Crikey, sorry to read that. Where did it happen?

This is the stuff of nightmares for a parent. I've enough worry when they get ill

South Africa.
That’s very sad indeed.

Tbh, I actually think the spiders would be a very bad idea, but there are other animals I wish we could have like large pythons, venomous snakes, big lizards, big cats etc.

I love seeing our native parakeet population fly over every day. Noisy little blighters though.

Yep, when we first moved in to our current home they drove us nuts, then we got used to it, then summer ended and they buggered off and we were both like "where the hell are our birds?" :D

I work right next to Bushy Park so I get my fair share of wildlife, I love it.
