Q about PSU in general

Hi there,

I will be building a new system soon.

And i wanted to know about PSU's

My hard drvies have a weird power supply socket. Like a black slot thingy.

And i had to get a convertor for it. If i buy a new power supply do they come with these and the 4 pin molex pins or do you still need adpaters?

Does this mean this psu will have direct power connections for hard drives AND optical drives?

And 4 pin connectors for uv tubes etc etc

I presume you mean sata power plugs, and yes, modern psu's have sata and molex connectors.
