I played the Demo of SCDA on the PC, and it seemed ok. But later on i saw my friend play it on the same level on the 360, and there was something different. It looked as if it had better draw distance, so for example, when you dive in the water, grab the guy underneath then pop your head out the hole, on the 360 he could see the camp place thing up ahead, whereas on the PC demo, it was all fogged away. Is this still the case with the full PC version ?

Ive heard a lot about bugs with Splinter Cell DA, but.......ive owned games where people have gone ape over bugs, which i never noticed or encountered any of them, so im willing to give DA a chance :) I tried playing it on the 360 but i hated it. The frame rate was choppy, aiming was a chore, it just felt a bit crap. The demo on the PC was a lot better (same stuff, just found it easier to play), only the graphics thing i noticed was different.

So would you guys recommend it ? Anyone playing it on an 8800GT + Vista ? Is it problem free when all updated ?

Well i can get it for £7 brand new, so thats why im intrested :) I enjoyed the first 2 games, only played the demo on Chaos Theory (which seemed awesome), so i thought with that price it might be time to play DA. The reviews seem to like it too.

Doesnt Chaos Theory use some over the top protection method ? Im completely turned off from games if it installs crap like that.

PC Double Agent is no where near as bad as some people make out. I have both the 360 & PC versions and have played them a lot.

PC looks better as you do not have any screen tearing with vsync enabled plus the textures are higher res than the 360. Never found any major bugs either so not sure why it had such a bad rep. Its a game you have to read the manual on and take note of the training missions as the controls are complex in certain places usually when you have a small amount of time to do something in a mission. Loading times are also much quicker. Highly completeable from the retail DVD, the patches just make it more stable on certain gfx cards hardware.

360 version is easier to do in places as it uses the gamepad and the game is designed to be played that way so the PC control scheme of mouse + keyboard takes a little while to adjust to.

360 version really has long loading times and the lack of vsync means it has horrible screen tearing in places which hurts the atmosphere.

Ive ordered it now, so this post has gave me hope :) Its only 7 quid anyway so, no big loss if its sucky. Cheers everyone !

Ive got it, and for the most part, it works fine. Its obvious is a bit of a wiffy port, and ive had 1 crash so far while loading (it just froze), but my main problem, is sometimes loading the game up to find it runs in slow mo, and i cant find anything about it online :( Anyone heard of it happening before ?
