Hi have both the 3020 and 3020 with the 3020 meant to go in the front

however, so far on just a quick listen i think i prefer the 2020 over the 3020 even though every review says the 3020 are meant to be better..

does anyone else prefer the sound of the 2020 over the 3020

do the 3020 just take longer to "open up" and wear in ?

Never heard them, but I just looked at the spec sheet, and they're essentially the same speaker bar the 2020 being slightly bigger.

but all the reviews say the 3020 are a step up from the 2020

going to give me a proper run tomorrow and compare properly

Thanks FurryLemon for taking the time

ill setup the speaker stands and give them a good compare tomorrow

was just curious is anyone else had found they preferred the 2020s

ok, it seems the 2020s have a slightly warmer mid, but the 3020 have a nicer clarity...

wondering how long to wear them in and if ill notice much difference after time

Any audible improvements I would imagine are going to be subtle, but it does depend on who's doing the reviewing. Some review sites/magazines are more genuine than others I imagine, and maybe more truthful if improvement are only subtle. When you get magazines like What HiFi reviewing speakers claiming a newer model speaker is a clear improvement on the last, how many of those are genuine opinions, and how many are just a way to help sell the latest and greatest.

Wharfedale's 121 finish aside, they got a glowing review from What HiFi, but I've read a few user comments that found them to sound muddy and weren't as good as the previous 9.1 and 10.1.
