In rosewood?

No it was a question from me to the others!

I still haven't decided and feel the quad set maybe a little small for my room.

I'm now looking at the Q acoustics and buying seperate speakers 1020i for the rears with 1030i's at the front

Can you add me to msn please have a few questions...

ye but I have small room remember...shouldnt need a lot of cable to start with...and besides I dont want to skimp on audio cables.

Ive decided im gonna bi-amp the front left and right speakers and bi-wire the centre using QED silver anniversary XT cable, then run QED micro to the rears....does that sound...sound? (lame attempt at humour there)

that's exactly what i've got.....!

Good choice on the Quad Lites, I have them myself and they are truly awesome. I wouldn't personally go for an Onkyo 606 though... they run VERY hot (go to a Hi-Fi place and feel one, they are roasting) and aren't very musical. If you can afford it, go for the Denon 1909 instead.

lol Richdog - have to throw a spanner in the works :)
ok....is £100 more for a denon 1909 over an onkyo 606 worth the additional cost in your opinion?

Yeah they're ok but you need to REALLY tighten them or otherwise they will droop. Cheap and chyeerful though, and they do the job. :)

and what does it sound like...am I in for shock & awe?

pretty good considering my kit is 8 years old!

i'm looking at a new amp at the moment. Can get the onkyo 805 for a little more than a 606, but i'm tempted to stretch to the 875 or 905. I do like the look of the pioneer LX70 though.
