Q210 feedback needed

Hi, I am thinking of buying a notebook, the model I'm interested in is the Samsung Q210.

Does anyone else own one of these already? if so what is the quality and reliability like? Would it be capabe of playing games such as emulated ones using MAME etc.. I realise that they are not capable of playing modern type games such as Resident Evil 5.

I have had one since mid November and it is an excellent machine. I got the P8400 Core 2 Duo version. Very nippy and runs XP, Vista, 7 all fine. All VIsta drivers bar the wireless work in 7, although 7 now auto detects the Intel wireless so there is no loss of functionality.
I use mine for running VM's a lot and have had a small virtual domain going and its kept up to speed. I have also got Team Fortress 2 on mine at just playable frame rates, but certainly not bad going for nVidia GeForce 9200M GS inside.
Build quality is grand, can take a few shocks and a very good traveller. I have mine going from home to uni to work and I'm happy having it in a bag.

I have the slower version with the T7250 (I think). It's a nippy little machine. Only gripe I have is that battery life suffers with a laptop like this - I get at best about 90 minutes on a full charge.

Apart from that it games well for what it is and can handle most tasks without a sweat.

wow is that all! my q210 with P8400 gets 4-5 hours in power saver with light use and wifi on.
what battery have you got? maybe they are now smaller on newer models

Not sure. But from what I understand, yours would be Centrino2 certified whereas mine isn't. And that makes a big difference to battery life.

I'm not sure what battery I have, how can I tell?

If you pop the battery out and turn it over you will see the batts details.

Mine is: 11.1v 5200mah

Although mine is a P series which is 25w on load surely the idle isnt that much different. Especially as I get 3x the battery life you do, I would expect to get 15-30mins more.
