Q6600 advice.

Question really regarding the above, is their any specific reason to turn things like the C1E etc off in the bios, do those options enabled reduce potential overclocks ? or is their another reason for it ?

I have turned mine back on, so now drops from 3.6 to 2.4GHz when it's not doing anything.

Not noticed any difference in temps or in performance so there's your answer

I found that they slowed things down in Windows when they were enabled. Just running applications doesn’t usually push the CPU hard enough for it to run at full speed so it was running underclocked most of the time.
